Philippines Surf - Teahuppo East

Teahupoo East, Philippines – Robin Johnson deciding not to chance this one. You can afford to be choosy with just two people in the lineup, and need to be when there’s only about a foot of water underneath. Stay safe, stay at home, surf the net.

Is there a another place called Teahupoo in the Philippines or are you getting mixed up with the one found at Tahiti-iti. By the way “Teahupoo” pronounced “chow-pow” in Polynesian for “scull crusher”. Nice … surfed in once and had the worst wipe-out of my life, as I really didn’t know what I was on until I was sat out-back waiting for my set. Moral of the story … don’t surf reef unless your good at what you do !!
