Carcavelos Longboard Surfing
The waves of Carcavelos, in Portugal, makes a nice spot for surfing with longboards, specially in the summer.

Carcavelos is a pretty popular beach, it is the first main beach out of Lisbon (the capital) so when the sun is shinning you bet this beach will be packed.

Hi
I have just finished writing a book on Longboarding. Please take a look at www.shortcuttolongboarding.com Thanks Lee
I live in Carcavelos (5mins from the beach-lucky me). It is longboardable but after 9 in the morning the coaches arrive and it becomes unsurfable because of the bathers. In the winter it gets BIG-still surfable but BIG and FAST and HOLLOW-hawaiian hollow. I lived 2 years in W Java, I know big. Carca is on of the most insane waves I have ever ridden but can be mellow too. Schizophrenic almost
