Quintessential warm-water point wave, almost too perfect to believe. “Some say it’s the best wave in the world at 4-6 feet,” says photographer Jason Childs. “The adrenalin becomes an obsession. The heat, the sweat, the tube can drive some crazy.” Indian Ocean pulses turning the corner.

That wave is amazing but what the photo’s fail to portray is the fierce hassling crowd that invariably accompanies a surf there. Still if you a get a good one the memory will be with you for life.
