The Australian Mick Fanning, former world champion and current number one screams off the bottom and sizes up the section ahead of him. In Supertubos the Rip Curl Search is on hold, because off the massive swell that hit Peniche, the biggest surf in a decade! But the guys are having fun!!

This photo of Fanning was taken in Baleal 5Km north of Peniche, not Supertubos as the title seams to indicate. Baleal is one of the areas in Peniche district where you can find a bit of everything, tow-in spots, beach breaks and a very easy and long manouverable left breaking over a reef called Lagide.
